Bike Nantucket
It's called the Nantucket Way. Leave your car behind, and take your bicycles aboard any island-bound ferry for a modest fee. Some airlines will allow you to carry on your bike, space permitting. Once on the Island, place your bike aboard The Shuttle bus and explore without a car.
There are more than 25 miels of bicycle paths on Nantucket. The island is just 3.5 miles wide by 14 miles long; dedicated cyclists can cover the entire island in a day.
Make more leisurely trips from town to several beaches, to the village of ‘Sconset on the eastern shore and Madaket on the western tip.
Rent bikes at many town locations and at the airport. Some companies will deliver bikes to your door. Go to Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce for more information.
